Medical ManagerOur Client is looking for a Medical Manager to be based in at their Head Quarters in Germany.This is an exciting opportunity to join an established organisation with a vast pipeline of drugs and emerging products. Your key responsibilities: •Provide medical expertise in the therapeutic area of pain related to product(s) under your responsibility and thus support the Global Marketing objectives •Support of maintenance and development of our international Key Opinion Leader (KOL) network related to the product under responsibility •Planning of concept and contents of relevant symposia and conferences as well as advisory boards within the scope of the overall marketing strategy including related Key OPL management •Develop effective medical communication and publication strategies together with product management and take a hands-on role in the implementation of these in conjunction with the marketing groups and local operations •As the main medical contact, interact with regulatory (internal) and drug safety departments regarding product-related issues potentially impacting the product or its overall marketing strategy and provide expertise for the corporate label review board •Review and/or produce, where applicable, product and/or health information for publishing and sales force training materials and ensure consistency with the global product positioning and key messages •Co-ordinate, review and provide guidance related to strategic planning and preparation of marketing-driven clinical trials of phase IIIb/IV •Co-ordinate, overview and monitor the effectiveness of headquarters and local medical activities for the product(s) under your responsibility and their adherence to corporate strategy and guidelines as well as international legal and regulatory requirements including •Review, plan and/or prepare approval for marketing-driven studies (investigator-initiated, non-interventional, sponsored marketing-driven phase IIIb/IV) •Supervision / negotiations / leadership with regard to contract research organizations, agencies and other contractors in general Your qualifications: •Experience in the pharmaceutical industry •Experience in planning, conduct and reporting of clinical trials and non-interventional trials (post-marketing surveillance) •Knowledge of international regulatory environment, treatment guidelines regarding international clinical trials and related knowledge on pharmaco-vigilance •Knowledge of external medical and pharmaceutical industry issues impacting the registration, marketing and support of pharmaceutical products in general, preferably in the therapeutic areas of CNS/pain •Knowledge or experience in drug development, scientific and regulatory affairs •Knowledge in late phase drug development and life-cycle management •Ability to understand both business and medical needs •A degree as Medical Doctor •Leadership and sound decision making skills •Good negotiation, interpersonal and organizational skills, team player •Excellent knowledge of English In this position you will directly report to the Medical Director within the Global Medical Affairs department.
